From MIKEY777

Adam,oh thats a big YES the set looks like in very good condition and for 125.00 yes you should get it...By the way i do have the parts that you would need to make the set complete[[tom mount, bass t-rods]]Mikey

I know this thread is a little old, but just joined after searching for information about restoring my kit. I found this thread and thought, hmm, those drums look exactly like mine. I am sorry to say, Adam, that I'm the one that snagged this kit. I will sleep with one eye open in case that hit is still out.

Mikey, you mentioned that you have the parts available to restore this?

Congrats on snagging that one from under my nose! How is it? What pieces do you need to complete it? Is it in good shape?

Don't worry. I called off the hit! Show us some detailed pics of that sucker!

Another 20-12-14? And Star to boot, so let mne ask you this...can you get them for 100? And if so, yes. Use the "incomplete" rule, because the Star parts are going to be a bit harder to come by. Dang...how come I can't find those deals? We don't have anything down here, and you keep falling over them everyday....

Welcome We can guide you through the very beginning of your new drug addiction. And it is, make no mistake, about to get hold of you. If you spend any time here, you will be an expert restoration artist in nop time, if you find you have any skill at it. Can you tell us the sizes? You have stumbled oin the greatest site known to vintage collecting and restoring.

MIJ drums are the specialty of a handful of us. Most of the other members shun and make fun of us as second rate drummers, but we just smile, and rock, patting that big ol' sack of wildwoo....nevermind....

Another thing, get some batteries, and keep a DETAILED album of the process of restoration from the very beginning, and we will get you from point A to point B....and it can be fun and very educational. Sizes....? I know....patience....but I have none of that....waste of time to wait on things....Jump For Joy

Apparantly I didn't select the email notification like I thought. I figured this thread was lost. And thanks for the welcome! Reading through some of these threads makes it very clear how easily I could get addicted to restoration. My wife is pretty happy we don't have a bigger basement.

I'll get some detailed pics taken of the kit sometime this weekend and get an inventory of what's missing. I'm fairly inexperienced in vintage drums, but to me it appears to be in great shape, save for the missing hardware.

In the meantime, I did find this great ad from when the drums were on the market.
