Mikey, I got all the Zildjians with the 4 drums for the $1200. They have been with these drums since they were all new in 1966- very cool. Thank you so much for your help. I am going to email him about those floor tom legs you mentioned. Regarding the L arm cymbal mount- should it be a specific brand?

What do you like for a bass pedal with this kit? I see so many on ebay?

Good for you well done!! is the seller going to get one of the L arms mounts for you?? if yes,it looks like you had a Gretsch L arm before so get that or a ludwig to match the floor legs since they are ludwig also??

Yes he said he'd get one for me. I will ask him to get a Gretsch L arm.

Do you think the floor legs were changed or original?

They look original. take off the top head a look for yourself, see if there are any extra holes or patched, it looks original. these where custom ordered and the customer could put what they wanted on them! who ever owned this kit knew what they wanted when they built it!

Oh allright, I have seen inside, no extra holes or patches. I belive you're right about the original owner because he matched those Zildjians so well too.

This is such cool stuff- I could become really obsessive about this vintage drum stuff. It's so beautiful and I love the history- and never mind how good the drums sound. Then there's the comraderie of talking to people like you and others on this forum. Everyone has been so helpful and nice to me even though I feel like such an ignorant pain in the a** beginner with lots of questions!

What vintage bass pedal do you (or anyone) recommend for this kit?

Mikey, you sure are a wealth of knowledge! I bought them for $1200. I love them!! The L-arm cymbal mount is gone- for some reason he sold it with another drum kit but says he will find another for me. The only stand included is a vintage Ludwig snare stand. I wouldn't think a high-hat stand and cymbal stand would take all that much off of your estimate though. And you're right about really hard to come by. I know of only one other W/A kit for sale in the country right now and it doesn't compare to this one. Why do these W/A sets almost always not have a snare with them? W/A made snare. But I have never seen anyone with one that came with their kit. Even my brother's bought brand new back in '68 came with a matching Gretsch snare.

Wow,How cool that you got the setClapping Happy2..Yes you are right the W/A did make snare drums they wood used the same lugs ete that the set came with Gretsch in your case...I have only seen one complete in 30+ years in buying and selling vintage drums. That set a very good friend on the west coast has it,it's a 4 pc same sizes as your 13,16,22 14 matching snare the set has all gretsch lugs ete on all drums even the floor tom leg mounts are..Also the stands are gretsch hi-hat,snare,2 floor cymbal stands and bass pedal the whole set was made in 1967-68 in W.M.P....Mikey
