I sent you an email answer back, michele this kit is 100% original, and that is a WA rail mount not a rogers! and as you stated the kit is immaculate, if you get both the snare drums? if it where my kit you would be spending $2500.00 buy the kit!!!! you cannot buy a new kit to match this one unless you are willing to spend $4000.00+, as long as they are negotiable , you said this is what you once had!! time to go buy a kit!!! your child will be able to play this kit many years down the road!Cool1Clapping Happy2D' Drummer

Mark, thanks for taking time to look at these and write me. When we were little growing up in Worcester, Mass, my brother got a beautiful blue sparkle W & A kit as a kid around 1968 or 9. I used to play his drums when he let me or when he wasn't home. Now, some 35 or so years later, I'm over 50 and have been thinking about getting drums again for many years. I loved playing those drums then. I could still hear the crisp beautiful sound of those WA's of my youth in my head and that's what drove me to put up postings in different places saying I was looking for a vintage WA kit. Several people contacted me from all over the country. It was great to talk to everyone.

Then I got the call from RI on this black oyster pearl W/A kit- not too far from me- I live in Maine.

The Ludwig snare in one of the photos does not come with it- only the Premier.

You'll have to post pics, and show the stamps of all the cymbals!

Much batter photos...Tom mount is not Rogers..all the drum have gretsch parts on them lug's,rims, ete but the floor tom leg mounts are 60 Ludwig club-date's..just a few question's does the bass drum come with the L-arm cymbal mount also what are the stands if any?...The set to me looks mint too..So i would say with the three drums and snare with cymbals and all the stands from 1,200.00-1,600.00 these set's are very hard to come by only if it had the matching snare you could add another 500.00-600.00 to the other price...Hope you get these nice looking drums...Mikey

Mikey, you sure are a wealth of knowledge! I bought them for $1200. I love them!! The L-arm cymbal mount is gone- for some reason he sold it with another drum kit but says he will find another for me. The only stand included is a vintage Ludwig snare stand. I wouldn't think a high-hat stand and cymbal stand would take all that much off of your estimate though. And you're right about really hard to come by. I know of only one other W/A kit for sale in the country right now and it doesn't compare to this one. Why do these W/A sets almost always not have a snare with them? W/A made snare. But I have never seen anyone with one that came with their kit. Even my brother's bought brand new back in '68 came with a matching Gretsch snare.
