16 x 16 Radio King shell

One that was originally painted and has outer maple ply. Cosmetics not an issue. Prefer one that was drilled for small beavertails and had wood hoops.

FWIW, the 40's beavertail toms like you describe that I've seen are 16x14, not 16x16. They may have transitioned to (or had an option of) 16x16 at some point?

Yes S/L did make a 16x16 floor tom with the bigger beavertail lugs..in the 40s...Mikey

I would consider 16" diameter by 14" deep if a shell became available that fit my criteria.
