What fine lines are you speaking of? There are several possibilities here. Is it the edge wear or the ovoid hammer strikes or the lathing areas?

I think nether of them.
Can you see the black circle?
What I mean is all over the surface, but I circled where particularly noticeable.
Is it something made during the cymbal making process?

I've looked at these pictues many times and my eyes must be getting worse. Is this cymbal cracked at the 3-4 o'clock position or is that just a stain with visual tricks being played by my eyes? It looks like the crack even shadowed some of the cymbal. Let me know if I need to get new glasses soon, please.
