Purecussion RIMS kit

Loading...

I own a Purecussion RIMS kit. You know the ones with no shells from the late 80's or early 90's? Anyway, the kit has: 10" 12" and 14" toms and either a 20" or 22" kick I can't remember off hand. I have the tom mounts, an extra 14" rim with missing parts and gig bag to put the whole thing in. The kit is in very good condition and sounds great.

I know they don't make them anymore and they are hard to find. My question is, what is the whole thing worth nowadays?

I have played on those before.. I use to also use them in drum lessons and they were pretty cool and so easy to travel with.

Since you do not see many on Ebay and it is an item that has a limited following it would be difficult to put a price on them.

For me, if I was in the market $200 - $300 would be a price I would pay if I really wanted them.

Would you take $50 for them?

Just kidding...

Thanks for the reply. 200 or 300 isn't bad. I've been tossing around the idea of getting rid of them. They are great for travel but I have no place to keep them while trying to make more room in my one bedroom apartment. I used them last on a European tour of small venues. They were a breeze! And sound great! But that was back in early 2004. In a perfect world my debts will be paid off and I'll own a house with a garage to have all of my drum stuff set up inViolin but until then......

Stoli,

Hi, I was just wondering if you were interested in selling your Purecussion Rims

kit. I've been looking for one for a couple of years as the venues I'm playing are getting smaller and I'm getting older. If you are interested please let me know.

Thanks,

Ill give you a hundred if they arent trashed.

A thing is worth what someone will pay for it. And yours are worth more than a hundred. I sold a set about two years ago. And I think it went for 175. Dont Remember.

Guys,

I probably should sell some of my stuff but I'm having a hard time letting things go. When I was a kid I didn't know what I had and sold it; an all original '70 Premier Silver Sparkle 4 peice with 20" kik and 2000 snare! I wish I still had it. Having said that if I did sell the Purecussions it wouldn't be for less than I paid for them.

As for the condition, they are in good condition; not trashed.

Thanks for asking.

Are these with the PTS (preadjusted tension) or adjustable tension heads? Big difference in price.
