I work at a Private High School in Da Bronx and play music with some of the teachers.

One guitar player is an art teacher. The guy is amazing! We've been back and forth about him doing a bass drum head for me. Now it evolved into having the kids paint drum heads of different sizes as a project. I have some used heads I am giving him to start. Not calf thats for sure! I hope it can work out. Other than that no painted heads yet.

Good thought there! The music dept. at the school is top notch. We have a $50,000 recording studio with a full Pro-Tools HD setup.Hardly used. And video stuff that'll knock your socks off.Always used. Some of these kids that play instruments are outstanding.

But if what I propose to do with the art teacher brings another kid closer to music I would love it.

Conversly, you could get the drummers to do the art work and introduce art to musicians!
