Does anyone know what this is - hihat part

I bought this Gretsch "Giant" hi-hat on eBay and haven't started to use it yet.

Does anyone know what this little hole is for? It's threaded.

Does it look like this hihat is complete or are there parts missing?

The hole is for a tilter that adjusts the angle at which the bottom cymbal sits/makes contact with the top cymbal.

Thanks guys - so I guess that part is missing on this hihat. I suppose I could make one up to fit.

Also - does the clutch look right for this hihat? I see there is another Giant hi-hat on eBay for $95 and the clutch looks a lot different than mine.

The first photo is from eBay a few minutes ago - the second is my clutch

Thanks for the post!

Could you send me some detailed photos of the clutch you have so I can look around for it? I would appreciate that very much.

Do you know what clutch I have?

search for gretsch hi hat on ebay now and you'll see two for sale, one of them has closeup picture of the clutch.

also look at completed listings

Thanks!

I was taking the hihat apart to clean it. I take photos when doing that - may come in handy. I had everything organized and cleaned up. Then I saw this part laying there? I don't know if it's from something else - I don't remember taking it off or out of the hi-hat. Maybe it fell out?

Does it even belong? Do you know?
