Thanks, they were pretty rough when we got them. My son used some of his gig money to buy the kit. I paid for shipping (we found them in Ohio) and heads, etc. It was a fun project and the kit is his daily practice kit now setup in his room.

I got a couple of packages from my forum buddies yesterday.

One sent a Shur Grip bass muffler I've been looking for and a surprise bonus Slingy block and cowbell holder.

And another made me a present of one of his Slingerland model 839 Drummer's Folding Chair.

All three items look right at home here with the RKs, and really add a lot to the completeness of the set.

Thank you so very much, both of you gentlemen for your kindness and generosity. It is much appreciated, and won't be forgotten.

Absolutely beautiful set you've got there!

Just curious, did you have any problems installing the new snare reso head? That's the same one I used on my 59 and due to the deep snare beds (and being a total novice) I had a fit getting the wrinkles out. Thanks once again to you and Vintagemoore for the help.

We need to get together sometime and compare our Windsor's.

Man! I love that throne!

I bet it LOOKS very FAMILIAR to you!!!! Laughing H

to answer Todddilema when i was over at kevs house last week i tuned it for him, and once you ge it to the proper tension the wrinkles will eventually fade as the head does stretch to the bearing and snare bed shape!!Walking

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....
