Help Identify This Drum

Loading...

I'm trying to figure out what I have here. This is a 2 piece heavy brass shell with back soldered edge flanges. The edge flanges and the bead are smaller than the ones on my 20s Ludwig snare. (see pic) There is no logo or marks of any kind anywhere on the drum. It is a 4x14. The flange on this drum is 3/16" wide, and the flange on the Ludwig is more like 9/16". 3 times as large. Thanks for your input.

The throw was a hoop mount. 2 holes 3/4" apart running parallel to the hoop. The throw was missing when I got the drum.

I can't get the thumbnails to display. In the pics of the inside, does it look like the edge flange is smaller?

It looks as though the edge is wider than on my drum. When I got the drum I was told it was Ludwig, and from the outside appearance, I would agree. But when we get inside, things are different than my other 20s Luddys.

Don't know what to tell ya on that one. I do see what you're talking about. Maybe an early generation one.
