TommyP & OTHER WMP EXPERTS: YOU'RE NEEDED!

Not much, really! Once I removed the rims, heads & all the hardware, I soaked the hardware in some dishwashing liquid. While it was soaking, I wiped down the wrap with a damp cloth containing some dishwashing liquid to remove the dust, dirt & grime and than I applied a coat of Meguiars Color X. I then removed the Meguiars with some polishing cloths and that was about it. Fairly quick & easy which, I can assure you, for me is a good thing!

WOW!... what a beauty... and what a NICE MATCH!!!!! You did a great job on the clean/polish, and I'm very impressed with the match to the rest of your drums. Excellent!! Enjoy!!

I think the drum looks great and the match seems perfect to me!

For future reference for the folks that read this thread, I'd recommend not using car wax like maguires...over time it tends to dull.

I'd also recommend not using NOVUS 3 as it is pretty abrasive and can harm wraps. I ALSO think the NOVUS 1 does nothing I can see.

I'd recommend, after a simple cleaning of the shell, using NOVUS 2 twice.

But hey, that's me...

I have to agree, the Novus 3 leaves scratches that are hard to get out, you end up making a lot more work for yourself.

Will the WMP kit stand out adequately against your light stone fireplace when you post pictures of this completed and stunning kit???

Oh that I should have such a problem. :)

Not a Guru... just interested..

You bring up a valid question, Jim!

I think I'll wait until the spring and take some outside "shots" of the kit in front of some nice green shrubbery (LOL)!

That would be a lot easier than "darkening" the light stone fireplace.
