Apollo Kit Deal?

Loading...

Is $125 a good deal on this Apollo kit?

-Teardrop lugs

-Missing tom mount

-Has all hoops and T-Rods

-Lavender or Blue Satin Flame

-Matching Snare

-Looks to have grey painted interiors

What do you think? Should I go for it? Would need a tom mount and a few bass drum t-rods to make it complete.

Thanks in advance!

Oops. Just realized this should be in the "Non-USA" section. My fault. Not sure how to move it though.

I think 125$ is a good deal. It`s hard to see everything from those photos but if restored a little bit then I bet that kit will be a beauty.

At $125 I think this is a good deal, too. However, just realize that these old stencil sets might seem to be all there, or mostly all there, but can turn into parts hunting projects. Not saying that this one is, but you do run that risk, so when you go to see it, inventory the parts very carefully. Make sure the t-rods fit into the inserts.

The mount might not be such a big deal. I usually play my Apollo set as a 4 piece and play either the 12 or 13" on a snare stand. If you want to have both of them set up, however... good luck finding the parts.

It sounds like all the parts are there. Both tom bottom hoops and rods, the rail is there, but the actual mount is missing. Has a shell mount cymbal stand which rules. The front bass drum hoop is there and all the T-Rods, but 4 of them don't match. Has the original tom batter heads and snare side head.

Seems like a cool kit and the finish seems in pretty good shape for a Satin Flame. I am waiting on a response from the seller. Hopefully it isn't gone!

Thanks for the advice dudes! If I pick it up I will no doubt want to talk about those parts Mikey!
