I think that's just a fun thing the webmaster set up to coincide with people's post count at the forum. I have been here a long time and made lots of posts, for example, so I am now a "Drum Guru". It's just for fun. Stick around and your status will change, too.

Thanks! You may have saved my drums. Those blinds are closed all the time though. Would the blinds protect my drums? Or is it still at risk?

Yes, too much light, especially direct sunlight will fade the finish.

After seeing your pic, all you need for double mounted toms is another holder like the one you have, but with 2 arms......and of course, another tom.

If you can't move the drums, maybe you can close the blinds with the light reflecting upwards.............or get some vintage WWII blackout curtains................or cover the drums with an opaque cloth. But, remove it before playing....lololol.

The holder with 2 arms is what I originally thought about doing. I'm still thinking about it... And I'll find a way to protect my drums. Thanks for the good ideas
