67 ludwig downbeat champagne worth $1,200?

My main concern is the ply splitting on the toms. If this is just the wrap going into the plys, does this lower the value? Are these worth $1,200? What do you think?

Well, I would gladly pay $1200 for this kit.

I don't see the ply splitting as a big issue. A lot of the vintage drums I've seen have it to some degree without much impact to the sound. Doesn't seem to impact pricing I've seen either, sadly.

Where is everyone digging up these beautiful Downbeat kits?!?

I think that's just a reflection. Good question on the bass drum though. It was sold for market value. Not a steal just your normal everyday fair deal!

Snare appears to be a Pioneer, that is why he will never get 2large for it. And 1700 without the snare??? Not even in McDreamy land. From these pix, they ain't in all that great of condition. If they were immaculate, and had a matching DOWNBEAT snare...1700 is still high, maybe...and no hardware package either.
