Ludwig Amber Vistalite Zep Set 5 Piece Drumset

I could never play it like John Bohnam.. but man It sure would put a fire under my butt playing something like this. You know like superman...but with his cape, once he puts that on hes a whole other animal.. teehee:D

I sat down behind one of those sets in Fork's Drum Closet. You're right; it was inspirational!

Local CList has one (minus the snare) for $1500. See here.

If insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, is it insane to practice?

I know what you mean Cletuss.....but.....in a real world playing situation, vistalites are a bit of a bear to tame. The maple drums are a bit easier to replicate Bonham's true sound, as he only recorded with those. The vistalites were used live and only for a few short years before he settled on stainless steel...also a bear to tame. My advice....if you want a bonham kit, get a maple kit, either natural or green sparkle, you'll probably be more satisfied sonically that way. :D

I have a newer version of the Bonham kit in natural maple finish. 26" bass, 14 rack, 16 & 18 floor. It is a sweet sounding kit.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....
