Question on any of the four 14" Zildjian cymbals listed.... I have an older pair of New Beat hi-hats (maybe 60s?) and the top cymbal is cracked badly. Any of those about the same thickness/shape/sound as a New Beat top?

I'd like to pick up a seat like that but the missing rubber foot and the price keeps pushing me away. Are you willing to negotiate on this prices?

Hey Rock, you could weigh your cymbal and see how close it is to the weight of Kevins. Older New Beats were usually Medium Thin to Medium tops, but weight is the best thing to get as close to yours IMHO. Also measure it on a flat surface, some older cymbals might be a tad smaller...

Hope this helps..

Thanks for the advice. I've never done the "gram" weighing with cymbals before, so what kind of scale are you using to weigh them? I'd like to get one close in weight as you have mentioned.

you post office will have the scales you need to weigh them. or you can buy gram scales at office depot, office max,or places like them, office supply stores, if you every sale a lot or own a lot of cymbals it's the only way to go.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

I work with refrigeration, so I have a scale that I use for work. I paid over $150.00 for mine, but I'm sure there's cheaper on Ebay...
