A quick eBay chuckle

Happy New Year everyone!

I guess we're all used to seeing heart-breaking examples of the horrifying treatment/modifications of vintage instruments on evilBay. What's so amusing is that the seller actually goes into great detail to justify this, and then the potential remedy. I was even more amused that someone had the heart to start off the bidding...

Have a great 2010!

Congrats on the find. What year is your set and what configuration?

As far as the 402, someone will bid on that basis alone given its vintage.

Cleaning up that drum would be no big deal and it would be worth alot of money it is a early 402...

Looks like a 400 to me. But still, might not be too bad of a deal. I could probably get it looking nice again.

The chuckle is quickly becoming laughter. It's already up to $260. And I'm positive it is only 5" deep. The only thing that would make it worth the current bid is if it is brass.

LOL!

Yes, I noticed that listing as well. I was going to write to tell them it wasn't 6.5" and to measure again, but I get tired of telling ludwig ans zildjian ebay sellers that they are wrong in their listings!

To me the killer is that he is trying to SELL the two sets of drumsticks instead of just throwing them in!!! "You can pay me hundreds of dollars for the snare and you know what?, add another five bucks for the sticks too!!"

What a jabrone.

have a wonderful evening

Odd that the drum is in U.S. but the listing is on the Australian? Ebay?

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

the aluminum red sticks are verisonic sticks and the others are rosewood sticks, now that you all know this, I'm gonna have to bump the price up another $20.00 just add it to your plow pay payment, by the way the dust that comes with the drum is free DOHLoLoLoLoHurting

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!
