Paiste black label availability?

From backbeatkeeper

There's a set or 2 for sale on Ebay, not the easiest price to swallow.....

That's why I got the 14" black label SE's the 15"s are way above my budget. What I am looking for is the 18" medium, 20" medium and 24" ride.

So are you going to sell it to me LOL That is an awesome looking cymbal. The cool thing is that I have found and am purchasing the first cymbal of my quest. I am using my cell phone so I can't copy a link but if you go to Metro Detroit Craigslist and search "Paiste black label"under Musical Instruments you will see the one I am buying. The cymbal was posted a while back so I was suprised to find out it was still available.

I figured you would be keeping that beautiful pie. I am going to pick the 18" up Friday. Do people usually disclose that they are selling a reissue or do they generally just say Paiste black label and you have to figure it out by serial number?

ask him for the serial number and ask him does it have a crested sun stamp at the top of the cymbal, the real BL has 6 digit serial# and the reissues have 8 digit serial # seriously either way you'll be a happy camper, from the pic very bad one at that ,it looks to be the real deal, but the reissues are awesome

I already asked him for the serial numbers but he was on the road and couldn't tell me. He said he would let me know tonight or tomorrow. I'm hoping they are 6 digits without the word Paiste near the numbers. That is how my 14" SE's are just 6 digits beginning with 8 which dated them 1978. It would be cool if the 18" happened to be the same year. For the asking price I will buy it either way. I was really refering to ebay I geuss when I asked about the reissues. Did the 24" you bought say reissue in the description?

yes it did in the text, but i can spot em a mile away, the old ones color is different from age and the new one's are well new, but your looks to be a match for your hats, that price is to good to pass up, are you in Detroit?

I live about 45 minutes from Detroit. The seller agreed to meet me so the drive won't be bad at all. Are you from the area?
