A drummer friend of mine in LA owns this one. Never even seen one before.
Fairly rare I think.

Holy Aztec Batman !!
Thanks for posting that, I've never seen a pic of one...just the cat scans.
What's the value, I wonder?
That's a beauty! I expect that Mike C. will chime in with an appraisal.
Nice drum! Isn't it weird how much better-looking vintage drums are than even the nicest new drums? I just can't get over it! There was such a style to those old ones!
I find it even more amazing that these "rare" drums keep popping up more frequently now that the economy is in the dumper....before when times were good, you never even heard of one never mind saw one.
Thanks for the feed back guys. I would only guess at the real value. I'm just trying to get my good buddy ol' pal who owns it to loan it to me for one or two gigs. Hell...I gotsta to play that thing!
Seems I've seen the same era Black Beauties more often...and they're not that cheap last time I checked. Maybe someone who knows could chime in with an approximate worth, then I could offer my friend one third and it'll be mine...mine....mine! ;)
I tend to agree with O-Lugs about the look of vintage drums, especially snares.
Oh man... I'm getting those tingly feelings up and down my leg...Laughing H
What a pair of beauties! I generally don't say that about drums...
