Ludwig Deal

Loading...

The other day I picked up some more old Ludwig stuff. There is a list of it below. For right below $300 I think I did pretty well.

CASES

-16 inch hard case(Made in chicago)

-12-13 inch hard case(Made in chicago)

-Snare and Cymbal hard case on wheels(Made in Chicago)

DRUMS

-1965 Super Sensitive w/ minor pitting($40)

-1968 Champagne 16 inch Floor Tom($35)

-1959 Black 12 inch tom($20)

CYMBALS

20 inch Zildjian ride 1950's-1960's($75)

20 inch ride small bell 1950's-1960's($75)

15 inch Zildjian Crash 1950's-1960's($50)

I'll get some pictures up of the stamps and drums once they are cleaned up. I'll need some help dating the cymbals. So, how do you think I did?

So, how do you think I did?

Poorly.

But I am feeling somewhat charitable and--for a fellow VDF member--would be happy to take that floor tom off of you to finish my "downbeat plus" 1 up/2 down configuration.

Cool Dude

Seriously it amazes me to hear in this day and age of things like this when even 1 minute of effort to put something on CL would double or triple someone's money in this case and the buyer would still be doing alright.

Nice score. Let's see that FT if you are interested in selling. Actually let's see it all anyway whether you will keep or sell.

I'll keep you in mind. I already have a couple interested buyers. But, if your set is a 1968 I might go with you instead. I'll post pictures object by object after cleaning.

Thanks amigo.

My set is 1964 so the badge on the 14" is centered like the early Ringo set, and not up a bit higher like yours. Also I have the red felt. So not a "perfect" match, but close.

I put some pics of my set up on a thread awhile ago.

Whatever you end up doing, I look forward to the pics, and if you happen to come across a 64 downbeat snare (except the 63 one that P00der is selling) you can let me know about that as well! :)

I remember that set...how could someone forget about that beauty! I actually came across a pioneer pre-serial champagne snare for $225. But, it had nickle hardware.

Here are the 20 inch stamps. the 15 inch stamp looks to be early 50's but I can't add it at a size that meets the rules and is still visible.
