Vintage Premier Drum Set

Loading...

Thanks for the info. I have begun the clean up process with pretty good results so far. The chrome is brightening up nicely with a little Nev-R-Dull. I think everyone is on the same page with the approximate age. I will continue to research this to match up tom mounts, finish and hardware styles. I have not even begun to look for replacement items for the set but I am guessing that the exact replacements will be hard to find.

Appreciate everyone's input.

If the bass is indeed a different wood than the toms, was this a common practice? I am wondering if this was a "special order' kit when it was put together. Things like that and the concert toms just don't fit into the nice, neat catalogue order book. Which, is a good thing if you are a collector, I guess.

Thanks for the input.

I seem to remember from Geof Nichols book that premier offered flat base stands long after the other drum co,s stopped ,so if those stands are premier they could have come with the set.

The flat base stands are Premier stands. The concert tom stand is a bit different than the two cymbal stands. The snare stand is also a Premier.
