Correct Strainer?

This is supposed to be a 1969 Supra. Is the strainer period correct? I have a '76 Acrolite that is sporting a P-83. This looks to be a P-85. I know the pic sucks, but is good enough to see that it is not the old style P-83, but not the same as the newer P-85. Was there a transitional strainer in the mix, is this one cobbled together, or do I just not know my P's?

Bumpx-mas2 Anyone care to chime in and lend a hand? I really don't know much about Ludwig parts.

This is the correct strainer as shown in the 1970-71 catalog. So your 76 Acro has a p-83?

the strainer is not correct first off it should be a ludwig p85 strainer, and the one on your drum is a slingerland rapid strainer 673, so along the line someone has changed it, mark

So my Acro has a Sling Rapid Strainer and the 69 Supra has a P-85? Is that what you are saying, Mark? Interesting. I like it, no doubt. From what I have read, the P-85 has some issues and and other people (on another forum) have suggested trading out the P-85 because of t5hese issues. At any rate, I really like the one on my Acro. Now if if I can just get that marker off the Supra, I'll have 2 really nice drums!

YES TO BOTH QUESTIONS, I HAVE A TON OF LUDWIG SNARE DRUMS WITH P85'S AND NO PROBLEMS WHAT SO EVER. THE MARKER CAN BE REMOVED WITH GOOF OFF CLEANER, MARK

Thanks Dave, Mark. You guys are all great to know. I know diddly about the hardware on Luds, so I thank you mucho. Even tho it is not standard, I think I'm gonna leave the Acro the way it is.
