White Tiger Pearl Slingerlands

Loading...

Just scored this beautiful set of Vintage Slingerlands for $500. They look like they could have rolled off the assembly line yesterday, yet they are nearly 40 years old! All original hardware, mufflers intact, and the chrome is pristine. The only visible wear it all is on the front bass drum hoop. I feel so lucky!

I see the toms have got "RIMS" on them, did the seller throw those in too?

looks like there are some decent heads on them too, i know a lot of the guys around here dont like the sound of the newer controlled heads on vintage kits but I am a fan of the sound.

perhaps that is the ignorance of my youth talking... Yes Sir

Yep... he preferred to mount them on cymbal stands, while I prefer the crosstalk you get from a bass drum mount. I was so eager to start playing them that I didn't even pull off the RIMS, lol! :)

I kept what the seller had on them, which are exactly the heads I like, and exactly what I have on my club date. It's like it was made for me!

The heads Vintage As on the snare and toms. Powersonic on the kick.
