Due to health issues I am considering selling my 70's/80's Rogers butcher block finish 9 pc drum set. I purchased it as 5 pc Londoner in 1974 (Fullerton 1972 interior labels - swivomatic hardware) and has been primariy a practice kit at home as well as played for a while in our church praise band. Needless to say it has been very well cared for and nearly all original including many of the drum heads. In 1983 I wanted to expand the kit but the butcher block was not listed in the catalog as an available color. I contacted the factory to discover that they still had the color available and would make me four tom tom drums in the XP shell style. I would not be surprised if those four drums are the only XP shells produced in butcher block. The kit would consist of all drums, bass drum pedal, hi hat stand and two cymbal stands as included in the Londoner V kit (swivomatic hardware) according to the 1973/74 Rogers catalog (including the cob Dynasonic metal snare) plus the extra four toms I added in 1983 (8X8, 8X10, 10X14 & 12X15, memoryloc hardware) including two floor stands to mount the four toms. I always had fibre cases for these drums for both storage and transport to protect them and only I have been the one to set them up and break them down, I would consider selling the cases with the drums. In addition to the drums/cases, I also have the sales receipts for the drums and the original owners manuals for the swivomatic bass pedal, hi hat stand and COB Dynasonic snare.
I am asking for your comments
