Will do. Thanks Mark!
Ed Shaughnessy ,G K sets on auction
Ok my thoughts on these two drum sets.
The ES set I believe it was a display set and may not been played by him in lot 80 there is a Ludwig plexiglass display sign that went with that set also you will see the hardwear for the set and the matching canister throne.
Lot 78 the GK set it could be a set of his I know that if I recall right Slingerland didn't offer that logo in a catalog but did offer the two letter crest on heads. But also in that same lot that colorful Remo set I have seen on stage but I can't remember we're or when or artist.

https://hibid.com/lot/159112813/weather-king-ambassador-snare-drumThanks for the tip. I just won the above drum!
These types of auctions you never know what you will fine over the years buying drums on auction sites.
Most don't know what they have they will say old drum in case, see the name of the drum head that's has to be the name of the drum.
Misspelling of drums cymbols etc
I have a list of key words or saying that I put together over the years to fone drums on auctions sites.

If anyone is near Weatherford, TX, there is a Bowling Ball Oyster vintage Ludwig kit that is missing the floor tom and need some work but could be a great price. Shipping is not available.

Well, the Ed kit went for $4K, the Gene for $3.75K; I guess some folks felt confident with the authenticity.
And the purple satin flame Slingerland kit went for $1400.
No, I wasn't bidding. But I was watching long before they were mentioned here!

I saw that the Lavender Satin set went for $1400. I bid early and then dropped out. I wouldn't have paid $1400 for it.
My friend, Brooks Tegler, was interested in that GK set. I'll have to check back with him.

Wow....after looking at the other items in the auction I know exactly where this auction was. I used to drive by it on my way to work. Never would've guessed this place was full of vintage drums. (Google maps photo)

And based on the auction results, that was about $10K of lawn ornaments sitting out there!
