I think they sound great. That tuning is spot on. You must be psyched!

I just did some tracks last week with my mid-60's Slingerlands, but that was Pro Tools HD due to there being no budget. Thankfully, we tracked through a Neve board.

They sound good to me man!!

I have a Slingerland 70's set that I recently re-wrapped in vintage white pearl.They had a black wrap on them that really needed replacing.....Have several Slingerland snares that sound great also......

not really much detail to go into but...i used remo coated empirors on batter and remo coated ambassadors on bottom....then i tuned the tops lower and the bottoms higher....play around until ya find that sound you want...remember tune top for tone and bottom for the pitch

Thanks. I just purchased my "75" slingerland drumset in October! I have the top and bottoms tuned the same, I have coated ambass over ludwig mediums right now. I will try the bottom higher and see what I get.
