Damn google pop-up ads

Say guys,

Starting today, when I open up VDF, I have google ads pop-up at the bottom of the screen. Regardless of whether I "X" out of them or ignore them, another ad soon comes up to replace the first.

I don't know what is prompting these ads. Perhaps the fact that I have a gmail email account? I normally use Safari as my server. Haven't yet tried opening VDF with Google Chrome, but I think I just answered my own question.

Damn pop-ups, I hate them! I consider them an invasion of privacy.

Is anybody else experiencing this?

Yep. We did not put that there. I have a ticket in with the Server Admin. I just noticed it tonight as well.

I use Firefox with Adblock Plus and NEVER get popups!

It is strange - some people are getting it and others are not. The server admin is working on it.

Problem solved. It was actually pretty sophisticated hack. It had nothing to do with the server, but the attachment system. It is a little sponge hole we intend to close.

I have always looked at life like a sponge. Every little hole is a way for water to get sucked in. Slowly as you close each hole, then less water gets in and there is less that drags you down.

So, think like a steel block... Hard to penetrate and let the bad things in. That is what I try to achieve in life and also in keeping this forum in tip-top shape.

Every day try and close up a "sponge hole"....
