Rogers Drums

It's strange because I had sold a gold sparkle Premier fairly quick, it had modern kick legs and was missing the original 12" hoops. It had a 12,14,20 and I was able to get $500 out of it.

12/14/20 is a more sellable configuration, I think.

It just irks me that you can't finish this deal when the guy is almost laying down for you. $450 dollars is a very good price for that kit. And, I think I'd tend to agree with the theory they were ordered without interior paint. It just looks too good from what I can see. It doesn't look like some well-meaning goober did it, himself :) I dunno....more pics or whatever.....grrrrr....;)

More sellable? With those hideous modern kick legs and missing parts? I originally got them from Music Go Round and one of the employees told me it sat there about a year and that was after they lowered the price several times. I got them for $500, but only after I sold them some gear that came out to the same price. My aquamarine sparkle kit only has a couple extra holes, everything else is original. I believe I just got lucky on the gold kit, the buyer just wanted it for his studio.

I originally asked him what his best price was and he told me $550, I told I'd think about it, I told him I needed to sell my kit in order to buy, then he came down to $450. I'm sorry that it "Irks" you that I can't buy a second kit, even if I had the extra dough, I live in an apartment, not much room for just one kit.

Fair enough. I don't know enough or care about Premier stuff. It was a guess as to why it might have sold quickly. But if it was just luck, as you suggest, then luck counts, too. Maybe the planets were aligned that day...Whatever sells it, sells it.

Yeah, I shouldn't even care one way or the other, I guess. Your first post on this thread did indicate that you are interested in buying it and that was all the details you gave, so the implication was that you weren't just tire kicking. Now you add all these other details to the story. I'm not a mind reader. I thought you were prepared to buy it.

It would have been a good deal. I would have liked to see you get it....and then flip it a couple weeks later for a decent profit, or play them and love them.

I have the kit on Reverb, I get an email that I have an offer, the offer was exactly what I was asking. I thought, that's sorta strange, why didn't he just BIN? There was also a phone number with the message, text me. I text the guy and he responds with, I'll send you a certified money order, after you cash it, you can ship. Scammers are everywhere.

It looks like I may being buying the Rogers after all for $425. Someone offered me $600 plus a 21" Paiste Signature dark ride for my Sonor and those Yamaha drums I got free.
