Chicago Drum Show 2022

Loading...

Greetings,

It's hard to believe it's less than two months away now. I was an exhibitor for the first time last year and will be doing so again this year.

Anyone else plan on attending? I know Chris Hawthorne and BEC (as always) will have booths as well. It would be nice to do a "meet and greet" of VDF members. I didn't get a chance to meet Chris last year, and meeting BEC was awesome, even if it was just a two minute conversation in the parking lot while loading in!

If you attend, please stop by Booth #58 (AT Drums) and say "Hello"!

I'll be back this year selling vintage cymbals. Don't recall the booth number at this time.

We will be there displaying some rare vintage kits from Ludwig and Rogers. But even more exciting, we are bringing our 2006 Neil Peart R30 kit (#9 out of 30 ever made). Everyone is welcome to come play/take pictures with the kit. We will be accepting donations for a fantastic non-profit called The Gift of Music Foundation, which provides access to music education and instruments to youth who may not otherwise be able to afford it. Come say hi!

I will be back as an attendee after missing the last two years.

Collecting information about the following for ongoing research projects:
Gretsch drums with serial numbers,
Ludwig Keystone and B/O badge drums with serial numbers and date stamps,
Ludwig Standards from 1968-73, and
Ludwigs with paper labels from 1971-72

I hope to go this year, I have missed the last four or five. Glad to hear you guys are coming. I'm thinking about trying to sell some drum sets on the forums with the idea we make the deal at or near the show. Be a good way to avoid some shipping expenses.

Thank you!

I’d like to go just to mingle been so long since I was there!

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
