Ludwig Rockers Last viewed: 10 seconds ago

I don't do much horse trading anymore, but I came across this Ludwig Rocker and it was a good deal, so why not. They all have the clear interiors and made in the USA. It also came with a Premier 2000 snare, which I have in the for sale section and an 8x10 Ludwig Classic Maple tom in a black finish from the 90's.

They can call these Rockers, Stockers or Mockers, whatever the name, they have that distinct Ludwig sound.

Do these have a black & white Ludwig badge or the later "cartoon script badge?

The first issue late 1970s/early 1980s Rockers were by far superior and still made in the USA. Later versions were not. I think...? I had a nice late 70s kit I sold with matching snare.

Yep, they all have the black/white badge's with the clear interiors, made in the USA. Reminds me of a Ludwig 6ply kit I had.

You have had every vintage drum set known to man so you know what you have. That said, they are good drums and you always did like ludwig.

Thank you!

You're right, I believe I have and ya, I do have a fondness for Ludwig. Unlike a lot of you guys I also like black drums, even mismatched drums.Party

Hi Robyn, ya, the 12 has the classic lugs and the 16,:22 have the Standard lugs. It was probably all pieced together.

I had this nice Rocker II set some years ago. Same shells as the Rockers, but with the brownish "Lud-Cote" interior spray. They were advertised with Rocker (Standard) lugs, but this set came with all Classic lugs! The assembly people did this when they were out of Rocker lugs and needed to keep production going!
