Good going. That's a nice one. I think that the scarcer drum colors are even more scarce for canister thrones. I used to have a WMP Rogers canister that I traded for a whole drum set. Then I had a Blue Sparkle Ludwig canister that I sold once Jim Petty made me a Bermuda Sand canister that is custom made for my short legs and is two inches wider in diameter. I found a case online for about $20 that is he perfect size for my canister throne.

A case for the (hardware) case, in this case. ;)
Case closed!
I will never tote drum hardware inside this canister throne.
No, I won’t put hardware in one either ,
that’s why I have rolling stock
but me playing out any more , will be very rare happening indeed!
In the day
I sold a downbeat , in silver sparkle , with snare ,and canister for 1800
Thought I did good , who would of known , miss that kit , it lit up in church ..
Generally speaking, what time period were canisters made? Something tells me 1950-60s?
By the mid 1960s, very few drummers bought new canister thrones. Some older drummers, who had been playing from the 1950s and earlier still used the canister thrones. But, most drummers used light-weight fold-up drum thrones.
I love canister thrones myself. I have one in Sky Blue Peal and White Marine Pearl that are 60's Ludwig. Ludwig continued to make canisters up until around 10 years ago I think. I special ordered one in the new Galaxy wrap to go with my 60's Galaxy kits.
