If You could Have Only One Drum Set

From idrum4fun

Hi Slingerfan! Most of us are well aware that many of the drum companies would use the same picture of a catalog kit, even though the hardware and drums changed. While I'm aware of the timeline for the smooth-shell GK snare drum, I'm still using it as shown in the catalog picture.-Mark

Hello Mark, looking forward to seeing your 2R kit finished to match the catalog. My initial post was meant for someone doing research and stumbling on this thread. We know you know!

Slingerfan!

Yes, many newer drummers into vintage drums that they might take catalog pictures as gospel! My 2R should be a nice set when complete!

I would keep my ludwig oyster blue set. 22, 13, 16, and matching pioneer that I recently purchased. Tried to attach a picture but failed.

Hi JC! The picture issue may be that it's just too large for VDF. Feel free to email me your pictures and I should be able to help out!

Tough call for me ... I have eight Slingerland 50N—I can match the decor in just about any room I play.

Probably the blakrome because it's what I dreamed about in high school and it's a finish that's unique to Slingerland, even though it's not my most pristine set due to the oxidation issues that are common to that (and the copper) finish.

But it might take several rounds with a random-number generator to decide because I also have developed a soft spot for my BDP (no photos available) and Oak sets.

Beautiful. The black chrome must be very rare. I don't believe I've seen one in person.
