Ludwig and Ludwig Floor Tom Project

Loading...

Hey friends I am looking to put together a project kit with some old beat up Ludwig and Ludwig shells Ive had for quite some time. They are a very rough duco paint that is missing a majority of the paint. I need a floor tom. A single tension drum is fine. It could be in very rough shape, missing lots of paint, some extra holes, missing hardware/parts, etc, as long as the shell is in round (or very close). Please just shoot me a message with what you have. I really appreciate it!

Thank you!

Just curious, what color scheme duco paint are your current shells, does your project plans include repainting or wrapping?

Always interesting to hear or learn of other's projects.

Yeah these other shells and the floor Tom will be repainted. The shells I have are missing most of their paint now.

I have been hesitant to inform you that I have a bare 18X16 floor tom shell that may fit what you want, only because I'm not sure if it would be a match for what you seek. But I will let you make that decision, if you are still looking for shells for your FT project, let me know and I will reply with a full description and pictures.

In short, I believe the shell is a Slingerland produced in 1961, but was sometime converted to a BD. I have been trying to decide what to do with it short of tossing in the garbage, but I shutter at totally destroying it in that manner - preferring to re-purpose it somehow.

What you plan sounds better than tossing it. I offer it for free, just pay the shipping. I am in Hyde Park NY, but the U.S.P.O. placed my street in the among Poughkeepsie NY routes which is the larger/adjacent town.

Dudley thank you for your VERY generous offer. Your shell isn’t what I’m looking for but again thank you for a very kind offer!

Okay sorry I couldn't be of help. The picture helps to better define the particular drum you seek.

Take care.

Still on the hunt. This could be any Ludwig or Ludwig & Ludwig tom with imperial lugs. It could be a marching drum even. I’m open to anything no matter the condition. Please reach out and let me know what you have. Thank you!!!
