Rogers Hoops

Does anyone know the height dimensions of Rogers tall boy hoops and those that immediately followed the tall boy era.

Also, how do they compare to British Rogers hoops?

Dan!

Rogers Tall Boy hoops measured 1-1/4" in depth. I just checked the "normal" hoops on my 1966 Headliner and they measure 1-1/8" in depth. While an extra 1/8" with the Tall Boy hoops doesn't sound like much, it really made a difference when used with calf heads as they started to pull out. You could tighten up the batter hoop and still have a bit of hoop flange left over for rim shots!

I can't comment about the British hoops, as I have no real knowledge of them.

Thanks Mark. It is surprising to learn that only a 1/8" separates the two US versions.
