...years ago in a little, old lady's attic...It was in excellent condition and all the hardware was gold plated....Also had all the original cases, sticks, etc.....AND...last but not least, it also came with a complete matched set of old K Zildjian cymbals with the original paper labels under the bells! They looked unplayed -like a time capsule find!
I think it went for a ton of money and I'm not sure if the cymbals were sold separate of the kit or not...

I remember it, but not that detail. It was quite the find, and was jealous. Love my Gretsch set. The only great find I've found is a clear Ludwig Octaplus set, mint, with older Zildjians. Decent price, but what the heck am I going to do with an Octaplus set?

Sell them to someone who really wants them. Hopefully, there will be at least two people who will get in a bidding war for them.

I'm not sure without the background provenance story in the description. I had no idea there were even twelve of these kits. I thought there was maybe just this one I'm referring to. I clearly remember pics of everything -the canvas bags, the old sticks and pedals...everything. But the best part was the cymbal set! All of them had the original paper tags under the bells and they were immaculate. I'm almost sure the kit went through Steve Maxwell's hands (Or maybe he even owns it)....but the story was incredible.....Something about the guy was a drummer, went to the war, got injured or didn't come back....the drums sat in the attic for decades...something like that.

I vaguely recall a Caddy Green set that popped up on Ebay around 20 years ago and eventually sold for $15K. Is that the one?
