A Record for Extra Holes

This brings an old moto to mind:

"If at once you don't succeed, try, try again."

What do you think: If you assemble it and did a side-by-side test with a correctly drilled unit, would you hear the difference?

Probably not, but I certainly could see the difference!

I think the seller is right, cutting it down for a snare shell is the way to go. But heck no @ $350.

The same seller is offering George Washington's axe that cut down the cherry tree for a mere $2,000,000. The head had been replaced in 1835 and it's on it's fourth handle.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Being a 14x14 I could see trying to save that by filling the holes and wrapping it...but it should be about a $50 shell.....tops! maybe a bit more if it had a badge included (don't see one). $350? Jeesh!

Pictures for reference...

I imagine it’d be very hard to find rims for that 24 lugger...

Unless you use straight rims with clips....

it could be the rare vent hole model?

or you can fill excess holes with spike lugs might look cool.

Maybe the shell is free and the $350 is $60 a piece for the lugs?

I'd call that a Retch shell.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
