What you have is a very nice drum. The most sought after snare in history for the working man. It is a '65 SupraPhonic 402. Clean it up and play it. It is the most recorded snare drum in history, and if you are listening to music right now, you have about a 97% chance that is the snare in on the track. Worth 200-500 depending on the mood of the day, and the absolute cleaned up condition of the drum. Enjoy!

The throwoff is a replacement. The muffler assembly is missing.

Well, functionally, it won't matter very much. The drum will likely sound great -like all Supras. A little tweaking here and there and, voila!

...and it's a 400 (5" deep), not a 402 (6.5" deep).

If insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, is it insane to practice?
