People who know me know that I have no affinity for Ludwig drums and that I don't like unwrapped drum shells. However...that is a great looking drum set offered at a very decent price. Doesn't the blurb in the drum shop's listing say that the drum heads on the set are clear? But, the pictures show it with white heads. OK...so, I'm a nit-picker.

No, you're not a nit-picker! We all like what we like. If we all liked the same thing, life...and drums...would really get boring!!
I, too, have never been crazy about "unwrapped" drums, but these do look nice. In regards to the supplied heads, the issue is simply with how the seller is describing them. The supplied heads are coated batter and clear resonant, which is told in this description... "Remo Coated/Clear Ambassador combo on toms, Clear Powerstoke3 batter and Smooth White Powerstroke3 with Ludwig logo resonant on bass drum".
And, speaking of nit-picking; Ludwig needs to scale down on the length of the floor tom legs!!! Come on Ludwig, those 23" long legs are just out of place on the vast majority of your floor toms. While the 17.5" legs can prove a bit short on 14" floor toms, a nice compromise for almost all their floor toms would be 20". I'm sure they have these 23" legs made up by the thousands. Would it really cost them that much more to have them offered in a 20" length? Just my :2Cents:
