First time I ever saw a North snare drum. Hard to imagine it has a “dry” tone.

I do recall a white kit in my local music store when I was a kid waiting for my private lessons… I thought it was just too weird. (It had a conventional snare drum) I also recall the Gretsch poster in the back room where the drum heads were. It was walnut colored and had two rows of Tom’s… you probably remember it.
