Found this for $25, couldn’t pass it up. I believe the brand is Mirage. I think MIJ Pearl made. The tom arm and snare stand both needed a roll pin which I’ve fixed. The ride is a cracked 20” Meinl HCS that I need to grind out. The hats are 14” PlanetZ Zildjian. I’ve cleaned up the snare and tom so far, both which the original heads have cleaned up nice.

Hi Olimpass!

Yep, for $25 I'd buy them, too! Looks like a 6-lug bass drum and snare drum. What's the lug count for the toms?

Hi idrum4fun, yes the toms are only 5 luggers but I’m ok with that. Thanks.

I’ll probably use these at a practice or two and then sell them. Still a fun, price was right project for me.

There will be some MIJ collector out there who will likely offer you a tidy sum for them. They are fun to find though!!

I bought a similar set from a thrift store some years ago. Also $25, but no snare drum. The 8x12 tom is a 4-lug and the 13x15 floor tom is a 5-lug. It was a Sound Percussion set, wrapped in plain black pvc, that was in bad shape. Wrapped it in a beautiful Black Abalone Pearl from Jammin Sam. This particular wrap is no longer available.

Have fun with your $25 bargain!

Thanks Mark!

Just finished these up. In the the other spot for the bass drum mounted tom holder, I’m going to put the top half of a cymbal boom arm stand there for the ride. I think she came out well.
