It's all about keeping time!

Hi everyone!

Here's the latest addition to my "Drum Room" at my new home. It's a custom-made clock I found on eBay and thought it was pretty darn cool!

It's made from a 14" 12-lug 2.3mm hoop, tension rods, chrome-plated brass tube lugs, White Marine Pearl and a clock mechanism.

The lugs for 12-3-6-9 are 1-5/8" and the lugs for 1-2-4-5-7-8-10-11 at 1.5".

I didn't take a picture of the backing, but it's a piece of round plywood, covered in a black felt-like material.

The vent grommet is stamped steel and I might change it to a die-cast chrome vent in the near future. For now, I'm just enjoying this cool clock...and it keeps good time, too! LoLoLoLo

I think it would also look pretty cool in BDP :-)

Maybe with white clock hands for contrast ;-)

Yes, that color combo would look great! This was the only clock of it's kind and I happily took the WMP version. I was just doing a search for "drum clock" and this one turned up. The seller said it was the only one he ever made like this.

If you had to build this from scratch, it would probably cost quite a bit when you factor in just the price of the tube lugs!

It doesn't keep good time because it's ten minutes to 6 and it still says five minutes to 8.
