Oof, someone hit the lotto today...

...and it wasn't me. Someone got all this for $50! When I saw the ad I was sure a zero was left off, but nope. I was second in line, apparently. It still stings. If it went to someone on here, that would make it a little better...

What a deal! I really bothers me though that those drums were placed on bricks when they were photographed. If they were mine, I would be a lot more careful.

If I had been the buyer, I would make the investment of having a friendly drum shop or drum department at a music store convert all of the toms to double headed toms. The price for that entire lot is like buying the stands, and getting the drums and cymbals for free.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Awesome! It's good to know that deals like that are still out there. I'd still rather be Mark Clark though. He is the Michigan man that won $4 million on a scratch off TWICE in three years!

But, I guess $8 million would take the fun out of finding a sweaty old Dynasonic.

Stop stringing and tuning your instrument, make music now.

wow! just wow! That's the kind of deal I like to find. I was wondering about yard sales and estate sales and stuff like that now that we are in lockdown....probably going to be a lot of "free piles" of stuff like this....maybe

Definitely. It's not like that kit's some pristine museum piece. Never understood the appeal of single heads anyway.

Yeah, I didn't think about that, but you're probably right. Those drums were on "Offer Up", which I had never head of until the other day. Clearly a lot of people use it though, as the lady told me she got 50 messages for the drums in 4 hours after she posted them!

I had a minor ethical dilemma: If I was getting the drums, I was going to insist on giving her more than she was asking for everything. Not an insane amount - I'm not a saint or anything - but certainly a lot more than $50. When she told me someone was already coming to get them, I had to resist the urge to tell her how much more she could be getting, just for that Dynasonic alone. But I guess that would have been sour grapes...
