I decided to restore and refinish the bass drum hoops. I was sanding one hoop while the other was clamped for sitting the glue.
For my surprise, I noticed a weak small spot in the wrap strip. I pressed with my fingernail and figured out a termite "tunnel". With a small screwdriver I followed the tunels until I cant find anymore weak wood spots. I realized that another small whole I found before should be the same issue.
Any ideas to prevent more future damage before I fill the wholes and tunnels?
