Celebrating 14 years on VDF!

Hello my VDF friends! As I was posting some comments, I happened to noticed that my "join date" was June, 2006. Wow, 14 years ago! Time sure flies by! I love being in the VDF family and want to thank everyone for the support you have shown me these past 14 years! It's gratifying to know how many of you have been here for such a long time, too! Let's all keep up the good work by continuing to help everyone, including the many new members, with our vast knowledge of vintage drums. Sure, we get into heated debates from time to time, but that's what family does!

A great "family" to be a part of, indeed! 11 years, myself. It's been wonderful to get to learn and pass around knowledge for all this time!

Happy Anniversary. I’ve enjoyed reading all your posts, really appreciate your input and expertise. Was hoping to get to meet you at one of the upcoming vintage drum shows. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed for 2021. Keep the post coming!

Well, it must just have been the fun of it that made it seem longer than it has been. I've only been on 11 years. I was partly right, but mostly wrong.

Does beg the question: When did this forum start up?

As the others have said Mark, your input has always been valuable and you have shown great expertise coupled with high enthusiasm and a good measure of diplomacy in heated situations. :)

David and I started the VDF in 2005! So it’s been here for 15 years, as have I in the admin/mod capacity. Mark hooked on shortly thereafter. He is indeed, a great guy and a fine asset, as many of our members are of course, and that would include you! 😀

I guess I'm one of the newer guys here, but I really appreciate all the help Ive gotten on this forum. I knew little about vintage drums when I got here, but you guys, and especially Mark, have made me a "vintage guru"!
