Hey, it's not my kit, just seeing what they go for.

I don't know, I think it's kinda groovy - like vintage books in an old library.

The Aztec pic used by a member in this thread belongs to a very good friend of mine, He has a cordova kit as well they both are super cool looking and sounding. We all have different taste and likes, That's the reason for so many finishes offered by manufactures.
One reason I have been a Slingerland fan for several decades is their offerings of wraps that other drum companies did not offer. Some of these unique wraps were duds when it came to drum sales. Some of those duds are being discussed in this thread.

Slingerland really did offer some unique wraps! While we all have different tastes, I'm sure we can all agree that Slingerland was pretty bold to offer these wraps! From a strictly collectible point of view, many of these are rare. Doesn't mean they should be expensive! There's nothing wrong with collecting drums with these finishes!
In the late 70's, Slingerland ran ads where they would pretty much make a wrap with whatever graphics the customer wanted. How bold was that?!! Attached is a perfect example of their "Coca-Cola" wrap!

I like 'em .. !!
For me, I'd go between 5 and 6 for them. That's mainly cuz they aren't a popular finish.
And, depending on how badly the FT resonant rim is scratched up from setting it down on a damn concrete driveway. Geez .. !!
I never did get that Cordova outfit, VTM, but, yes, these are mine.
I wonder what wrapping a drum in leatherette (or whatever that Cordova finish really is) does to the resonant qualities of the wood shell. It seems like it's a relatively soft material that would act as a muffler. But, heck, in those days, everyone wanted to muffle their drums, anyway....or take the bottom heads off altogether! ;)
I do remember one finish that Slingerland had that I really liked....the COPPER finish! I'm sure all of you remember that mega-kit in the old Slingerland catalog....yeah
