I've not seen one of these, kinda funky. What do these go for?
Slingerland Cordova
Is this the same as the Leatherette? Is that leather? I would say the value would be similar for any regular more common Slingerland of the period. Just mu opinion. Cool though. I loved their denim covered drums :)
I think it's a very ugly finish.

That's the same thought I have about Ludwig's lame attempt at White Marine Pearl. But, some people like it. Meanwhile, I love some of the oddball drum wraps that most other drummers wouldn't ever consider owning.
Nah.This isn't one of those subjects that needs to be coddled by political correctness like so many things these days. It's a comment regarding an inanimate object that doesn't feel any sense of politeness or lack thereof.
Your reply, however, was rude and unnecessary and has nothing to do with the drums in question.

I totally agree about the unusual stuff. I'm the same way when it comes to "oddball" tuning systems. Most of what I really like, people have expressed flat-out HATE for.
As far as finishes go, I never liked Black Panther, Butcher Block and that Bicentennial one with the eagle (that looks like a pigeon). And now add "Cordova" to that list.

I know that I said I like the oddball drum wraps. But, a big exception is the Aztec group of wraps from Singerland. I hated these wraps when they were used as textured wallpaper in houses in the 1970s. UGLY!

I agree! And I don't think your opinion is rude at all. But I will say that I acknowledge there MUST be someone out there who identifies with these era-specific finishes. Just consider that Citrus Mod was so unpopular of a finish when it came out, that some of those drums wrapped in it were re-wrapped with Black Panther to cover it up! Now, lots more people think it's a cool looking finish and covet it more than almost any other wrap! Go figure!

Yep... go figure. As a young drummer, there were a few wraps that i did not want to have for my gigging drum sets because the "old guys" played White Marine Pearl, Silver Sparkle, and Champagne Sparkle. As I get older, those three wraps appeal to me. it took me 62 years of owning drum sets to actually like a Silver Sparkle drum set enough to acquire it. My 1966 Rogers Top hat set jumped right out at me and begged to come home with me.
