did a 12 Premier Soundwave tom mount a 13 skin? no! that's different

Different size but nothing new. I dig the smaller profile on mine, the oversize looks over engineered.

Can those rubbers under the lugs come off and the kit go back to it's size ? I can't do that with my lugs.

The extender will give you noticeable sustain. I muffle it with strips. I don't see getting the conical effects of a Trixon because the opening has not changed.
