Hey everybody. Hope you all are finding yourselves well in these strange days.
Over the course of my 48 years, I've owned just about every make and model of drum out there. Lost count of how many sets, snares and cymbals I've owned over the years. After all these years, however, I've never owned any Camco drums.
Came across this beautiful example and knew I had to have 'em. As I swapped out heads to my preferred coated Ambassadors top and bottom, I took the time to really soak in the build quality of these drums. I gig often (well, before all this), so the Rogers Swivo tom mount is definitely a bonus for me. It's all original, no extra holes or anything.
They are Oaklawn badged. The tone is absolutely stunning. I don't know the science behind shell design, bearing edges and all that... I just know that these drum sound amazing and, IMO, are as beautiful as any drums I've ever seen.
