Well, it does say NEW hoop, so I think that it's the real deal, probably the later Slingerland, just nobody had the common sense to say, "Hey, let's make sure when the hoop is on the drum you don't have to look upside down to read it."

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....
