Kudos to johnnyringo!

Greetings,

I just wanted to give a Bohnam sized bass drum "Thank You" to our very own and favorite drumkit trading member johnnyringo (Mark).

There was a kit I was looking at on Reverb that was local pick up only in San Antonio. I asked if he would be willing to pick up the drums, pack and ship for me (before I purchased them). He said he would. He picked them up and delivered them to Fedex, where Fedex packed them for me (at a surprisingly very reasonable rate). Mark was great about it and was great at communicating with me during the process, all while charging me a modest fee for his time and gas.

Thanks again buddy! May you come across many good trades as a result of your good karma of helping out a fellow forum member!

Here are the drums he picked up for me. Gretsch Catalina Club 12/14/18/14 SD in Bronze Sparkle. Looking good!

You're welcome!

I have a little story too, the owner here in town asked me to go to his wife's work to pick up the kit. She works for Americus Diamond. I thought it was kind of odd, with him not knowing me from Adam. Well, when I got there I called her I was outside, she not only came out with a co-worker, but was accompanied by a large police officer packing a large hand gun. That's certainly the best way to protect yourself from a potential nut job. Eye Ball

Great stories from both of you. I'm glad that all worked out well for you guys.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

And the award goes toooo

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
